Everything you need to know about public adjusters, the claims process, and working with National Claims Negotiators.
A public adjuster is a licensed insurance professional who works exclusively for you — the policyholder — not the insurance company. We assess property damage, review your policy, prepare and document your claim, and negotiate directly with your insurance company to ensure you receive the maximum settlement you're entitled to.
Most public adjusters, including National Claims Negotiators, work on a contingency fee basis. This means you pay nothing upfront and nothing out of pocket. Our fee is a percentage of the settlement we recover for you, and the percentage varies by state. If we don't get you a settlement, you don't pay.
The best time to hire a public adjuster is immediately after property damage occurs — before you file your claim. However, we also help with claims that have already been filed, underpaid, or denied. If your insurance company's offer seems low, or if your claim has been denied, it's not too late to bring in a public adjuster.
We handle all types of property damage claims including storm and hail damage, hurricane damage, tornado damage, fire and smoke damage, water damage, roof damage, and more. We work with both residential and commercial properties, from single-family homes to apartment complexes, warehouses, churches, and school districts.
The insurance company's adjuster works for the insurance company. A public adjuster works exclusively for you. We have no relationship with your insurance company and are legally obligated to represent your best interests throughout the entire claims process.
Yes. If your claim was denied, underpaid, or closed prematurely, we can reopen it and fight for the settlement you deserve. Many policyholders don't realize they have the right to dispute their insurance company's decision. We regularly reopen and supplement claims that result in significantly higher settlements.
We work nationwide. National Claims Negotiators is currently licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, with Michigan and Missouri licenses in process. If you are outside our active states, we handle the licensing so we can step in and represent you properly. Bottom line: if you have a claim, we can help.
The timeline varies depending on the complexity of the damage and the responsiveness of your insurance company. Simple residential claims can be resolved in 30-60 days, while commercial claims typically take 3-6 months. We keep you informed every step of the way and push for the fastest resolution possible without sacrificing your settlement amount.
